Members of the public will have two more chances to weigh in on Athens-Clarke County's ambitious Clean and Renewable energy plan.
The county's sustainability office is inviting residents to review and comment on the proposed plan via Zoom. The two upcoming meetings will be held on the afternoon of July 12 at 12:30 and 1:30.
The plan sets several goals related to where the county gets its energy. Among those goals are: 100 percent of electricity for county operations coming from clean and renewable sources by 2035, and 100% of all county electricity, including residential and business, coming from clean and renewable sources by 2050.
The plan and supplemental documents can be found at accgov.com/green.
