A University of Georgia student was taken into custody early Sunday morning, and booked into the Clarke County Jail on charges of making terroristic threats.

According to information from University of Georgia Police, authorities acting on information provided by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, arrested and charged the first-year UGA student from Virginia based on posts he made to the social media platform Yik Yak.

The student has been removed from campus pending further disciplinary review later this week.
