UGA football coach Kirby Smart speaks to fans during a January celebration of the Bulldogs' 2022 national championship win. The Bulldogs are hoping to become the first team in the playoff era to win two consecutive titles.

Expect most fans of the Georgia Bulldogs to be glued to their TV sets tonight, as the University of Georgia Bulldogs take on the Horned Frogs of Texas Christian University in the college football national championship.

UGA heads into the big game as a 13 point favorite with high hopes to become the first team since Alabama in 2011 and 2012 to win back-to-back national championships and the first team in the playoff era of college football.

And while undefeated UGA is heavily favored against the 13-1 Horned Frogs, the Bulldogs' head coach, Kirby Smart, wasn't thinking about that at a press conference on Sunday.

"We've had a saying around our place for a long time that probability is not reality, so we don't control what people say," Smart said. "Reality is what happens on the on the field between those lines and that's what takes a lot more courage than than just putting out probability."

Kickoff for tonight’s national championship game is at 7:30 pm, EST.
