UGA to celebrate national championship with parade and ceremony

Fresh off an historic second consecutive national championship, the Georgia Bulldogs will be honored in their hometown on Saturday.

The festivities will start at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 14 with a parade down Lumpkin Street, followed by a Dawg Walk at 1:00 and a ceremony in Sanford Stadium at 2:00. Campus will open to visitors at 7:00 a.m. and gates at the stadium will open at noon. Lumpkin Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from noon until 1:15 p.m.

Tickets will be made available to the public starting at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.

He was among a team at CNN that won a George Foster Peabody Award in 1991 for an educational product based on the fall of the Soviet Union. He also won an Edward R. Murrow Award from Radio Television Digital News Association in 2007 for producing a series for WSB Radio on financial scams. Jeff is a graduate of the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University (MBA) and holds a BS in Business Administration from Campbell University, both in North Carolina.
