Georgia's Stetson Bennett celebrates after the College Football Playoff championship football game against Alabama Tuesday in Indianapolis. Georgia won 33-18.

Stetson Bennett received the 2022 Manning Award, which goes annually to the best quarterback in college football.

The Manning, which is in its 19th year, is the only quarterback award that takes into account candidates’ bowl and playoff performances in its balloting. It was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl to honor the accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning.

It is voted on by a media panel as well as each of the Mannings.

Other finalists for this year's Manning Award were: Max Duggan with TCU, Sam Hartman of Wake Forest, Hendon Hooker - Tennessee, Drake Maye - North Carolina, Bo Nix - Oregon, Michael Penix, Jr. - Washington, Will Rogers - Mississippi State, C.J. Stroud - Ohio State, Caleb Williams - USC and Bryce Young - Alabama.
