The Athens Cultural Affairs Commission is teaming up with Poet Jeff Fallis to celebrate National Poetry Month with a series of projects and events for the ACC community to enjoy throughout the remainder of April.
Next Tuesday, April 18, Fallis will open the Athens-Clarke County Mayor and Commission agenda setting session with a poem. The meeting starts at 6pm and will be livestreamed on the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government’s YouTube Channel.
On Saturday, April 29, Fallis and special guests will present “Poetry in the Park,” an afternoon reading from 2:00 – 3:30 PM in Boulevard Woods Park located at 298 Barber Street.
The commission also encourages everyone to call the new Dial-a-Poem number 762-400-POEM to hear a recorded selection of original poems by Jeff Fallis.
