Reward offered in North Avenue shooting

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered in connection with a shooting that left two young girls injured.

According to the ACCPD, shortly after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a shopping center in the 400 block of North Avenue regarding a shooting.

When they arrived, they found a 5-year-old with an injury to her face. It is not clear if the injury was caused by a gunshot wound, a bullet fragment, or shattered glass. A 14-year-old girl had a gunshot wound to the arm. Both were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons involved.
