WUGA Producer/Reporter Among 2023 Crop of UGA Graduates

The University of Georgia is welcome its newest alumni this evening, just over 6,000 undergraduate students are taking impart in spring the Commencement ceremony this evening. WUGA assistant producer and reporter Isabela Weiss is among those in the class of 2023.

Weiss, an English and Political Science major and former student in UGA’s School of Public and International Affairs, or SPIA, joins the 96% of UGA class of 22 alumni who were employed or continuing their education.

The newest group of alumni will join the 16-hundred grad students who participated in the graduate commencement Thursday.

Leah Brown, an orthopedic surgeon, UGA alumna, and All-American for the GymDogs will give the address. The clear bag policy will be in effect. The ceremony, which takes place at 7:30 in Sanford Stadium, will be broadcast live on the Commencement homepage.

Alexia Ridley joined WUGA as Television and Radio News Anchor and Reporter in 2013. When WUGA TV concluded operations, she became the primary Reporter for WUGA Radio. Alexia came to Athens from Macon where she served as the News Director and show host for WGXA TV. She's a career journalist and Savannah native hailing from the University of Michigan. However, Alexia considers herself an honorary UGA DAWG!
