The University of Georgia men's golf team had a successful outing at the 2023 NCAA Golf Bath Regional, securing both the team and individual championships. In impressive fashion, the Bulldogs and senior Ben van Wyk completed their wire-to-wire wins at the Bath Regional at Eagle Eye Golf Club. This achievement also marks the first time since 2016 that a school has won both the team and individual championships in both men's and women's golf regionals.

The Bulldogs claimed the team title with a three-round score of 29-under-par 823 (266-274-283), securing their first regional title since 2019. Fourth-ranked Illinois finished in second place at 21-under-par 831 (272-278-281), followed by No. 22 Oregon in third place at 14-under-par 838 (279-274-285), No. 10 Florida in fourth place at 12-under-par 840 (280-284-276), and No. 15 Texas in fifth place at 10-under-par 842 (275-281-286). Ben van Wyk emerged as the individual medalist with a 54-hole score of 10-under-par 203 (65-68-70).

The Bulldogs were led by sophomore Buck Brumlow, who finished the final round with a 2-under-par 69. Van Wyk closed with a 1-under-par 70. Senior Connor Creasy and junior Caleb Manuel both carded rounds of 1-over-par 72, while sophomore Maxwell Ford concluded the Bulldogs' performance with a final round of 2-over-par 73.

This victory marks Ben van Wyk's first individual collegiate title, with Caleb Manuel securing a career-best tied for second place with a score of 7-under-par 206 (66-68-72). Maxwell Ford tied for 11th at 4-under-par 209 (71-65-73), while Buck Brumlow finished tied for 18th at 2-under-par 211 (68-74-69), and Connor Creasy tied for 20th at 1-under-par 212 (67-73-72).

Next, the Bulldogs will travel to Scottsdale, Arizona, for the NCAA Championships at Grayhawk Golf Club, which will take place from May 26-31.
