Rebecca Wright via The Red & Black

The Athens-Clarke County government is in need of qualified candidates to fill vacant positions on a slew of authorities, boards, and commissions. Mayor Kelly Girtz spoke with WUGA on the importance of Athenians participating in the process.

The Mayor said it takes all segments of the community to keep the city running smoothly.

Residents interested in pursuing a position must apply by Friday, July 14th.

Applications are available online at www.accgov.com/boards, or at the Clerk of Commission’s Office in room 204 in City Hall.
