Athens-Clarke County's 11th fatal vehicle crash of the year occurred on July 22 at approximately 8:46 p.m. when the Athens-Clarle County Police Department responded to a vehicle crash at North Avenue and Northside Drive.
The investigation indicates that a 2001 Toyota Tacoma driven by 22-year-old Richard Clark of Monticello turned left on North Avenue from Northside Drive and collided with a 2019 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle driven by 29-year-old Kody Kuckuck of Athens who was traveling south on North Avenue.
Kuckuck died on the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
