285 new food production jobs could be coming to Gainesville in the next few years.
Governor Brian Kemp has announced CJ Foodville Corporation will invest more than $47 million to build a bakery and food processing facility, creating jobs for hundreds of Georgians.
CJ Foodville is a food production company based in South Korea, which entered the U.S. market in Georgia in 2004. Since then, they have opened 4 storefronts of their French-Asian bakery cafe brand, TOUS les JOURS, across the state.
The factory, located in the Gainesville Business Park, is expected to be completed in 2025 and will be capable of producing more than 19,000 tons of product each year.
The factory will be hiring for jobs in procurement, logistics, quality control, and more.
Over recent years, many businesses similar to CJ Foodville have decided to operate in Georgia as half of the country’s top 100 food processing companies currently operate in the state.
