"Athens in Harmony" concert to inspire social change through collaboration and song

he Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement presents the benefit concert “Athens in Harmony” on Sunday at 7 p.m. at the Foundry to demonstrate how racial and cultural barriers can be broken and social change can happen through collaboration and song. WUGA’s Colin Vereen sat down with some of the event’s participants to find out more.

An Athens area native growing up steeped in the local music and food scenes, Colin joined WUGA in early 2022. He was hired as Operations Assistant and quickly took on duties as an On-Air Host as well. He now covers the early afternoon and All Things Considered weekdays as our local voice. Currently living in Athens with his four cats, he enjoys gaming, politics, hiking, art, live music, fine food and riding his One-wheel board.
