The University of Georgia Office of Emergency Preparedness (OEP) is set to conduct a full test of the UGA Alert emergency notification system on Sep.13 at 11:10 a.m.
UGA Alert notifications are posted on social media in addition to email and optional texts, and the university reminds students, faculty and staff to review their contact information in the UGA Alert system.
Following the test, a survey will be available at prepare.uga.edu.
OEP will also automate sending National Weather Service Tornado Warnings in Athens-Clarke County through the system.
