Athens Technical College Unveils State-of-the-Art Industrial Systems Technology Building

Athens Technical College has dedicated a new Industrial Systems Technology Building being hailed as a significant milestone in the college’s history. The 43,000 square foot building located on Highway 29 and Calhoun Drive will serve as a site for technical education in fields ranging from industrial systems technology to air conditioning. The college opened in 1958 as a vocational school serving an 11-county area around Athens. Today, students can enroll in more than 130 programs from health to business.

Jeff has delivered morning news at WUGA Radio for more than a decade. He was among a team at CNN that won a George Foster Peabody Award in 1991 for an educational product based on the fall of the Soviet Union. He also won an Edward R. Murrow Award from Radio Television Digital News Association in 2007 for producing a series for WSB Radio on financial scams. Jeff is a graduate of the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University (MBA) and holds a BS in Business Administration from Campbell University, both in North Carolina.
