A construction worker was killed in a work-related accident on the University of Georgia campus. 36-year-old Trevor Wilkie died of massive injuries caused when he was crushed by a forklift. The accident happened shortly before 10am Friday at the adult Education Center at 48 Baxter Street. Police officials said Wilkie was employee with IMI Construction in Watkinsville. He was working on a steam line project on campus when he was hit by the forklift. Firefighters were on scene about three minutes after the initial call came in and assisted with transporting the man to the hospital.
