Advance voting in this year’s election continues in Athens-Clarke County.
During the first week of voting in 2024, double the amount of voters turned out than during the first week of early voting in 2020. The third week of advance voting in this election begins Monday.
As of Saturday morning, 14,000 people had voted early, and over 4,000 absentee ballots had been issued. About 2,000 of those absentee ballots had been returned.
Advance voting is available at 6 locations around Athens: Lyndon House, Miriam Moore Community Center, Athens Regional Library, ACC Extension Office, ACC Tennis Center, and the University of Georgia’s Tate Center.
