Georgia’s Attorney General Chris Carr announced that two people were indicted for the murder of 20-year-old Cameron Manago in May at the Rolling Ridge Apartments in Athens.

Zyquavious Thomas, a 17-year old, and Keanthony Sorrells, a 15 year old, were each indicted on multiple counts, including murder. The Attorney General’s Gang Prosecution Unit presented the case to a grand jury last week.

18-year old Janiya Moore was also indicted on two counts, including possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Since 2022, the Gang Prosecution Unit has worked with Athens-Clarke County to investigate 10 cases, resulting in 24 indictments and 12 convictions.

According to the Office of the Attorney General, shooting incidents in Athens-Clarke County have decreased by 30% since 2023.
