A 17-year-old homeschooled student has been arrested on a felony charge of making a terroristic threat toward other students. Jackson County Sheriff Kevin McCook said no specific school was named in the online threat allegedly made by the suspect. Family members have been cooperative with law enforcement and all schools in the county were notified about the matter.

The arrest is the second in just over a week in Jackson County. The sheriff's office reported a student made a threat on Jan. 26 against East Jackson Middle School, but did not advise when the threat was made.
