An 18-year man was arrested at Apalachee High School on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Barrow County Sheriff's Office, Herson Galindo, of Atlanta, was arrested after it was discovered he was in the school illegally. Deputies arrested Galindo and he was charged with criminal trespass, possession of a schedule 1 narcotic, and possession of drugs on school grounds.

A release from the sheriff’s office says Galindo is a student at Tri Cities High School in East Point, and he rode the bus with girlfriend, who is a student at Apalachee High. Another student saw Galindo loitering in the hallways and hiding in bathrooms and reported it to one of the School Resource Officers.

He was arrested and authorities say he had a vape pen containing THC. No weapons were found, and they do not believe he was selling drugs at the school

Galindo was not booked into the Barrow County Detention Center, and no information about bond was available as of the writing of the release.
