The Athens Clarke County Mayor and Commission will discuss extending the employment of acting county manager Bradley Griffin during a special called session Tuesday night.
The mayor and commission will likely agree to extend the contract employing acting county manager Bradley Griffin until June 4th. Griffin stepped into the role in early January. He succeeded interim county Manager Nikki Jones, who took a position in North Carolina. Griffin was slated to return to retirement on May 2nd.
The mayor and commission will also meet Tuesday for an agenda setting session. They’ll discuss the budget for a mobile clinic set to be operated by Piedmont Athens Regional. The clinic would be funded by Special Local Option Sales Tax dollars and would provide medical care to underserved and housebound patients.
