Athens made Forbes’ list of the top 25 best places to retire

Athens made Forbes’ latest list of the top 25 best places to retire. Data was compiled on more than 950 places with populations over 10,000. Athens scored high on median home price, climate, primary care physicians per capita, and taxes.

The negatives were a so-so economy and a serious crime rate that was somewhat above average. Savannah also made the list.

He was among a team at CNN that won a George Foster Peabody Award in 1991 for an educational product based on the fall of the Soviet Union. He also won an Edward R.
