According to the Georgia Department of Labor, Athens has an all-time high number of employed residents. It has increased by almost 600 in April and over 3,500 in the past year.

Pitchfest offers a unique opportunity for aspiring filmmakers to present their project ideas to a panel of seasoned industry professionals.

Data was compiled on more than 950 places with populations over 10,000. Athens scored high on median home price, climate, primary care physicians per capita, and taxes.
