The 25th annual Hot Corner Celebration will culminate this Saturday June 14th
This week has been the 25th annual Hot Corner celebration. Since Monday, there have been gospel revivals at several churches. Saturday June 14th will be the grand celebration which will include music, soul food, art, and kids’ entertainment.
The festival is a celebration of the historic neighborhood where black businesses were able to thrive in the early 20th century.
The Hot Corner Festival and Soul Food feast is a free family friendly event that is open to the public. The festivities begin at 11am and will continue until 10pm.
The main stage will be in front of the Morton Theatre, the oldest, African-American built and owned theatre in the United states.
