Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has sent a letter to the House Committee chair, Bryan Steil, urging Congress to adopt Georgia’s election and list maintenance procedures.

Secretary Raffensperger specifically asked for Congress to reform the National Voter Registration Act to allow new technology to be used to keep voter lists up to date.

He also urged the adoption of four additional reforms, including requiring photo ID for all forms of voting, banning ballot harvesting in federal elections, standardizing post-election risk-limiting audits, and ensuring that only Americans can vote in American elections in the Constitution.

Additionally, Secretary Raffensperger will be holding a press conference on Wednesday, July 25th at 11:00 am at the Georgia State Capitol to kick off the post-election Risk Limiting Audit. This audit comes after the PSC Special Primary Runoff held on July 15th, 2025. It will be open to the public.
