U.S. House Representative Mike Collins currently serves Georgia's 10th Congressional District. He made his campaign announcement in a video posted to X where he touted a bill he sponsored named after Georgia nursing student Laken Riley who was murdered by a migrant who was in the U.S. without proper documentation. He also highlighted his relationship with President Donald Trump.

In his video on X, he said, “It’s time to send a trucker to the U.S. Senate to steamroll the radical left, deliver on President Trump's America first agenda, and put the people of Georgia back in the drivers seat.”

Collins will face off against fellow Republican and U.S. Representative Buddy Carter for a chance to challenge Democratic incumbent Senator Jon Ossoff next year.
