A 63-year-old man from Bishop was struck and killed while walking along Highway 186. Investigators say Hamilton Foster was struck by a Ford F-150 heading in the same direction about 4 p.m. Friday.

The Georgia State Patrol says the pickup crossed onto the roadside, striking Foster. The driver of the pickup, 40-year-old Matthew Hicks, also of Bishop, was charged with second-degree vehicular homicide.
