UGA Performing Arts Center will welcome Yo-Yo Ma for 30th Anniversary Gala

Brantley Gutierrez

This year, the University of Georgia Performing Arts Center will celebrate its 30th anniversary. Nearly 40 artists will join the lineup, including acclaimed cellist Yo-Yo Ma.

Jeffrey Martin is the director of the UGA Performing Arts Center, and sat down with WUGA’s Alexia Ridley to discuss the milestone and the center’s upcoming season. Here’s that conversation.

Alexia Ridley joined WUGA as Television and Radio News Anchor and Reporter in 2013. When WUGA TV concluded operations, she became the primary Reporter for WUGA Radio. Alexia came to Athens from Macon where she served as the News Director and show host for WGXA TV. She's a career journalist and Savannah native hailing from the University of Michigan. However, Alexia considers herself an honorary UGA DAWG!
