State Representative Mike Collins has received the endorsement of Laken Riley’s family as he begins his campaign for senate.

After the local murder of nursing student Laken Riley in 2024, state representative Collins introduced the Laken Riley Act to Congress. The bill became the first piece of legislation that President Trump signed into law at the start of his second term.

Laken Riley’s mother and stepfather, Allyson and John Phillips, expressed their gratitude and support for Collins as he vies for the republican nomination in Georgia.

Collins currently occupies Georgia’s 10th congressional seat and is looking to challenge Democratic incumbent Jon Ossoff in next year’s election.
