The University of Georgia will begin offering the flu vaccine on campus starting September 9th at the BeWellUGAfest.

UGA ID holders will be able to receive the vaccine free of charge and without an appointment at the Tate Plaza from 10am to 1pm.

Nurses will also be offering the vaccine from mobile golf cart clinics at campus events until the end of October. Walk-in vaccines will also be available at the University Health Center Pharmacy.

For the first time, the flu shot will be available in select dining halls Monday through Thursday starting September 15th.

The Center for Disease Control maintains that getting a yearly flu vaccination is the best way to prevent the flu or potential complications.
