The Oconee County Board of Education met Monday evening.
The Oconee County Board of Education held their work session that included discussion of Senate Bill 63 and the addition of courses for high school students in the 2026 – 2027 school year.
Senate Bill 63 went into effect on July 1, allowing homeschool students to have access to assessments such as the PSAT, ASVAB, and more. 11th grade students who attend school in-person and home school students living in Oconee County can now register for the PSAT until September 26.
New high school career, technical, agricultural, and education courses will be offered in the 2026-2027 school year. These courses will include Marketing, Communications and Promotions, Teaching as a Profession, Programming, and Government Public Administration.
