The annual Downtown Parade of Lights is scheduled for this evening.

The Athens-Clarke County Unified Government and Athens Downtown Development Authority have organized the Downtown Parade of Lights for this evening. The annual tradition takes place on the first Thursday of each December.

The parade will include over fifty festive floats and thirty performances by community members and local organizations, all under the theme of “Cooking up a Great Holiday.”

This year’s Parade Marshal is local award-winning chef Peter Dale, the current owner of the 5&10 restaurant.

The parade route and marching order can be found on the ACC Government website.
