Athens' Republican representative from district 120 has made significant strides in their campaign for a congressional seat.
Local lawmaker, Republican Houston Gaines, has raised nearly $1.6 million for his 2026 campaign for Congress in Georgia’s 10th district, receiving donations from all 20 counties within the district.
Gaines has also announced his campaign’s county leadership in every county across the district. These individuals will serve as the campaign’s local leaders who will coordinate with volunteers and engage voters.
Gaines says his dedicated grassroots team is the backbone of the campaign.
Democrat, Lexy Doherty will be running against Gaines for Georgia’s 10th congressional seat.
