A Clarke County School District (CCSD) Board of Education member has announced their resignation.
District 8 CCSD Board of Education member Nicole Hull announced she will be resigning, effective June 30. A special election will take place on November 3rd to fill the remainder of her term, which ends in December 2028.
During her announcement at the January 15th board meeting, she revealed that she had enjoyed serving on the board and in the community.
“Thank you all for being my colleagues and allowing me to serve in this seat, and thank the community as well,” said Hull
Once the seat is vacant, the board will have the option to choose a community member in District 8 to fill the position until the winner of the November election is sworn into office in January 2027. Information about qualifying for the special election, as well as the appointment process, will be released at a later date.
