The University of Georgia - The University of Georgia will be closed January 26th. In light of improving conditions, the University of Georgia will reopen on a delayed schedule on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Staff should report at noon, and the first in-person class for students will begin at 1:15 p.m.
All dining halls are scheduled to open at 9:30 a.m., and Campus Transit service will begin at 12:15 p.m. University Housing remains open for students who live on campus. More information is available here.
- UGA Gwinett campus - will be closed Monday, January 26th.
- Athens Academy - will open at 10am on tuesday, January 27th.
- St. Joseph - will be closed Monday, January 26th and Tuesday, January 27th.
- Athens Technical College - will be closed Monday, January 26th and Tuesday, January 27th.
- Barrow County Schools - will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26. (This includes the cancellation of all extracurricular activities.) they will return to a normal schedule Tuesday, January 27th.
- Clarke County School District - will continue to monitor the forecast throughout the weekend and will provide an update on the status of school for Monday, February 2 no later than noon on Sunday.
- Oconee County Schools - will have a 2-hour delay Tuesday, January 27th.
- Oglethorpe County Schools - will be closed for students on Tuesday, January 27. Teachers and paraprofessionals will observe a workday from home. For the most recent updates, make sure your contact information is up to date through your PowerSchool portal or contact the school directly to update your information.
- Jackson County Schools - will remain closed for students on Tuesday, January 27. All extracurricular activities scheduled for Tuesday are cancelled.
- Madison County Schools - due to ongoing conditions, all schools and offices in the Madison County School System will be closed on Tuesday, January 27th. The System will implement a Digital/Independent Learning Day on Tuesday, January 27.
- Double Helix STEAM School - will be closed Tuesday, January 27th. Water service to the building has been turned off and will not be restored until Wednesday.

- Bethlehem Christian Academy - will resume a normal schedule Tuesday, January 27th.
- Prince Avenue Christian School - will open on time on Tuesday, January 27th.
- Athens Christian School - will be closed Monday, January 26th and Tuesday, January 27th.
- Piedmont University - Campus operations will be suspended Tuesday, January 27th. Piedmont University will resume classes and campus operation Wednesday, January 28. However, the safety of our Piedmont family is of primary concern. Students, faculty, and staff who cannot safely return to campus should contact their supervisor or professor(s).
- The University of North Georgia - Tuesday, January 27th, the university will operate with asynchronous virtual instruction and remote work. Because some areas may still experience lingering power or internet disruptions, flexibility is encouraged. Faculty should use discretion when delivering instruction virtually and should be mindful of student access and circumstances. More information is available at ung.edu/emergency.php.
