Burst and Frozen Pipe Information
Do not call 911 to report burst pipes. Contact the Public Utilities Department at 707-613-3495 or 706-613-3481 (after hours).
- Immediately shut off the main water valve to your home.
- If you need assistance shutting off the water main at the meter, contact the Public Utilities Department at 707-613-3495 or 706-613-3481 (after hours).
- Residents living in multi-family complexes should contact their management company for assistance.
- In preparation for winter weather, take the time to locate both your home's main water valve and the main water valve at your meter.
- In the event of a frozen pipe, immediately shut off the main water valve to your home. You can try to slowly thaw pipes with a blow dryer or small space heater. Once thawed, slowly turn water back on and inspect pipes and joints for leaks.
