- The University of Georgia - will close operations early on Saturday, January 31.
All non-emergency operations at the University of Georgia will resume / open at 1:00 PM on Sunday, February 1. They plan to operate on a normal schedule on Monday, February 2. - UGA Gwinett campus - Will be closed Saturday, January 31st.
- Clarke County School District - will continue to monitor the forecast throughout the weekend and will provide an update on the status of school for Monday, February 2 no later than noon on Sunday.
- Oconee County Schools - All Oconee County Schools campuses will be closed on Saturday and Sunday due to anticipated weather conditions. All home and road extracurricular activities have been postponed.
- Athens Academy - will be closed Saturday and Sunday. All activities are cancelled.
- Barrow County Schools - all activities are cancelled for Saturday, January 31. Any decision concerning our Monday school schedule will be shared with families no later than Sunday evening through email/text messages, our websites, social media, and local media stations. If you are not receiving our direct messages, please check your contact information in the Parent Portal.
- Prince Avenue Christian School - Will be closed Saturday, January 31st.
The University of North Georgia - Gainesville, Blue Ridge, Cumming, and Oconee Campuses will be closed on Saturday, and all major activities scheduled for Saturday are cancelled.
Dahlonega Campus will maintain normal residential services for students living on campus; however, all major activities on the Dahlonega Campus are cancelled, with the exception of Residence Assistant (RA) interviews, which will proceed as scheduled. ung.edu/emergency.php.
