Athens-native and film director Aaron Strand released his feature Withdrawal last year. The film won Best Narrative Feature at the Athens Film Festival last year and was played at festivals across the country.
Strand sat down with WUGA’s Maya Iyer to discuss the work, which was filmed in the Classic City with the support of nonprofit Nuci’s Space.
Screenings of the film are scheduled at Cine in downtown Athens until February 12th. The events will include Q&A sessions with local figures including artist Montu Miller and Athens-Clarke County Mayor Kelly Girtz.
