The Athens Downtown Development Authority (ADDA) announced Friday that it will be rolling out a new parking app.

As of Spring 2026, it is now possible to pay for parking downtown via the app AIMS Mobile Pay or AMP.

So far, downtown visitors can use the app to pay for parking on Dougherty Street. Eventually, though, the ADDA intends to replace all metered parking with the AMP app.

The parking decks at College Avenue and Washington Street continue to accept payments in person with cash, credit or debit.

To pay, users download the app from any app store and set up an account with their debit or credit card and their car’s information. Visitors can also pay online at aimsmobilepay.com.
