Due to construction at one of the polling sites, the Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections has approved a temporary change to one of its polling locations.
Precinct 8A, currently located at Gaines Elementary School, will not be available for the upcoming spring election dates due to construction. The Board of Elections approved the temporary relocation of polling site 8A to Hilsman Middle School.
The Athens-Clarke County Board of Elections unanimously approved this decision at their February 10th regular meeting. All voters affected by this change will be issued a new precinct card in the mail with the updated polling location.
Voters can provide public input regarding these changes by sending a written public input online through the Board of Elections comment form or attending the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Elections on Tuesday, March 10, at 4:30 p.m., at the Athens-Clarke County Facilities and Landscape Building.
