University of Georgia sophomore linebacker Christopher Cole and freshman linebacker Darren Ikinnagbon were booked into the Athens-Clarke County Jail at 9:59 p.m. and 10:37 p.m., respectively, on Wednesday night.

According to police records, both players were charged with reckless driving and speeding. Ikinnagbon also faces an additional charge of following too closely.

WUGA has requested the incident report from the Athens-Clarke County Police Department. As of Thursday morning, the report had not yet been completed.

The arrests come amid a series of driving-related incidents involving the UGA football program in recent years, including a fatal crash following the team’s 2023 national championship that killed a staff member and a player.

Cole was released on $26 cash bail, and Ikinnagbon posted $39.
