Athens Rock Lobsters fans can see the team one last time this season for free Thursday at Akins Ford Arena. The Rock Lobsters dropped out of the playoffs last weekend. Though, there is still a chance to catch the team on the home ice at the Player Farewell Tour.

Athens Rock Lobsters President Scott Hull says the event is a chance to thank the Crustacean Nation.

“Thank you to everyone and all of our fans, our players, our organization and staff," Hull said, "We always set our sights on winning the championship, and that's what we look to bring to Athens next season.”

The Rock Lobsters finished No. 1 in their regular season division and sold out 10 games with over 5,500 fans each.

The team invites attendees to the Player Farewell Tour to meet players, get autographs, and participate in auctions for player-used items like hockey sticks and jerseys. The event is open and free to the public and will take place Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
