Governor Brian Kemp signed a slew of bills into law Monday morning. The legislation focuses on Georgia’s economy and tax relief for citizens, including HB 463, which lowers the state income tax rate from 5.19% to 4.99%.

“For us affordability is not some election year issue that we suddenly discovered,” Kemp said. “Throughout my time as Governor, and doing the Deal and Perdue administrations, we have never wavered when it comes to cutting taxes, promoting job growth, maintaining a balanced budget, and helping all Georgians succeed no matter their zip code.”

Governor Kemp signed nine bills into law.
