Athens-Clarke County officials are asking residents to weigh in on proposed trail improvements at Southeast Clarke Park through a public survey open now through July 10.
The survey, available at accgov.com/setrails, is part of the county's planning process for upgrades that could be funded through the Georgia Department of Natural Resources' Recreational Trails Program. If awarded, the grant would require matching funds from the SPLOST 2020 Park Improvements Project.
County leaders say community feedback will help shape plans for the park's trail network before any improvements move forward. The survey asks residents to share their opinions on the proposed project and future trail priorities.
The Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department encourages anyone who uses Southeast Clarke Park or is interested in its future to participate. Residents can complete the online survey through Friday, July 10. For more information, contact the Leisure Services Department at 706-613-3801.
