Monday kicks off Athens Restaurant Week.
Dozens of area restaurants are participating in the annual event, featuring special prices and menus all week long. Shannon Adams, with Visit Athens says 2026 brings a new attraction on Thursday Night, Eat the Town, Shop the Block.
“So, that’s a brand-new way that we’re trying to incorporate local retail businesses,” according to Adams. “So specifically, we created a map so you can see what retail businesses are offering discounts that night and what Restaurant Week restaurants are along the same route so that you can sort of shop and snack as you go.”
Restaurant Weeks runs through July 19.
More than 70 restaurants, breweries, coffee shops and other establishments are taking part in this year’s event.
