Applications for the Athens-Clarke County Government’s SPLOST affordable housing funds are due this Friday, July 24, 2026. $2.7 million is available in SPLOST funding for support of affordable housing development projects by eligible nonprofit organizations and private developers.
Eligible activities for funding include construction of public infrastructure (e.g., public roads, public sidewalks, water lines, sewer lines, and stormwater facilities) in support of affordable housing development.
Proposals can range from $1 million to $2.7 million. Entities can submit multiple projects for consideration. Applications can be submitted electronically by midnight through the ACCGov Dropoff Portal at www.accgov.com/dropoff.
Applications can also be submitted in person no later than 4:45 PM at the Costa Building, 133 E. Washington Street, Athens, GA 30601. In the Costa lobby, use the phone to dial the Housing & Community Development phone number and HCD staff will come down and accept the applications.
