Jackson County is expected to get 1,400 more jobs over the next three years.
The technology and energy company Siemens has chosen Jackson County as the location of its new manufacturing facility. Governor Brian Kemp says that this $185 million investment is expected to create more than 1,400 jobs in the next three years.
The new facility will be 550,000 square feet and will support growth in AI infrastructure by producing critical low-voltage electrical infrastructure products for the data center market, according to the Siemens website.
Barry Powell, the North America President of the Siemens Electrical Products business unit, said that Georgia’s strong business environment, skilled workforce, and proximity to other Siemens operations made the state a natural choice for their next manufacturing investment.
This will be Siemens’ third manufacturing facility in the state.
The facility is expected to begin construction in November of 2026 and begin hiring for engineering roles and other positions in 2027.
