Local Emergency Planning Committee kicks off this month

For the first time since 2019, Athens is going to have a Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC). To learn what an LEPC is and why we need one, WUGA’s Havivah Saltz spoke with Athens-Clarke County Emergency Planning Director Meredith Barnum.

The Local Emergency Planning Committee will hold its first meeting on August 20th from 3 to 4 p.m. at 120 Doughtery Street.

Havivah Saltz
