During their regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, CCSD board members elected Dr. Patricia Yager as their new Vice President. The post had been vacant since June and Yager succeeds previous Vice President Mark Evans, who was elected board president.
She has served as a board member since 2019 after she was appointed to the District 4 seat. Dr. Yager is currently serving her second full term, after being elected in 2020 and re-elected in 2024. She previously served in the district as a member of the Cedar Shoals High School local school governance team (LSGT).
She is a professor at the University of Georgia.
