Clarke County school board members took part in a retreat and public meeting this week.
The Clarke County School Board held its fall retreat Wednesday afternoon. The purpose is to bring current and incoming board members together. Topics covered included aboard self-assessment review, action plan development.
Dr. Cyndee Perdue Moore is the Chief Communications and Engagement Officer with the district. She explains how board members benefit from the meeting.
“To kind of take a look at what they’ve been doing, what they plan to do, review their norms, review our strategic plan and just get an update and pulse check of the district,” Perdue Moore said. “And also, to work together to decide how to best move forward on things.”
The board typically holds two retreats each year. No official votes occur during the retreats.
